Kira received her MA degree from the Johns Hopkins University Communications in Contemporary Society program with a concentration in Film and Media Studies in 2004. In 2000 Kira earned her BA from Goucher College where she designed her own curriculum called Digital Arts, a degree combining Fine Arts, Communications, and Computer Music. She has received recognition for her artistic accomplishments from Goucher, and the MSAC.


Kira has a strong background in large scale multimedia projects. She has an extensive knowledge and has taught coursework at a college level in the following areas: videography, graphic design, audio production, creating artwork for the web, black and white color and 3D photography, costume design and creation, stop-motion animation, interactive artwork using sensors and switches, visual effects for video and live video broadcast or production work.
